Christmas at the Indianapolis Zoo is such a great place for the family. The Christmas lights and decorations are amazing and it is so much fun to see the animals at night. Having a yearly family pass allows us to visit the Zoo multiple times this holiday season. Do your self a favor and visit the Indianapolis Zoo during the holidays.

It was a beautiful day in Indianapolis, in late August, 2017. Cool temperatures, bright sun, great town.

Coming Soon: 2015 Football Season
I was downtown earlier today and, berfor getting in my car to leave, I glanced at Lucas Oil stadium and realized, we are just a couple of weeks from Colts training camp opening. The first preseason game is about a month away and week 1 of the NFL season us six weeks away.
It should be a good season for the Colts and for the fans. If our playoff trend continues, we’ll be playing in Levi stadium, this February.
The First, Great Day of 2015
Saturday, April 18the was the first beautiful day of 2015. The sun was shining, the temperature was in the mid-seventies and families were out enjoying the day.
As a family, we went down to the canal to have a leisurely walk and enjoy the weather. I was pleasantly surprised to see the large amount of people, mostly families, doing the same thing. This was a weekend that did not feature a major event in the downtown area. There was such a diverse mix of people, on the canal. It was great. Everyone was smiling, being polite, having fun and enjoying their surroundings.
There were wedding parties having photographs done. Families on the paddle boats. Couples riding bikes. And, smiles everywhere. It was a great day, beyond the day’s temperature.
With all the problems in the world, recently, it was very reassuring to know that the residents of Indianapolis can come together and enjoy the day.
White River Canal Walk
The White River Canal Walk is one of the great spots in downtown Indianapolis. It spans from White River, near the NCAA headquarters, on the Westside, to Ohio & Senate, near the middle of downtown, then heads north to 11th street.
It is a great place for a casual walk, run, paddle boat ride or even a picnic. From the canal, you can easily access the Indiana State Museum, The Eitlejorg Museum, the Indiana Historical Society, great restaurants and much more.
Duckpin Bowling in Fountain Square
We did some duckpin bowling recently, in Fountain Square, and had a great time playing a sport that is near impossible to be decent at. The facility had so much character and history. You feel like you are back in the 1940s with the old wood, classic seats and vintage decor. Pictures of past teams and champions, from as far back at the turn of the 20th century.
There are multiple floors to play duckpin bowling, with each floor having about 8 to 10 lanes. The price was not bad either, just $30 per lane, per hour. five to six people can easily get to games in, within that time frame.
We Believe In Blue!
The 2015 AFC Championship game is two days away and the OneAmerica signboard is getting into the community spirit with a message to inspire the fans of ColtsNation.
This is the Colts first time back, since the 2009-10 season, and the 7th for the franchise, overall, since the 1970 season. For the rivalry that is Colts vs Patriots, this is the third time these two team have met in the game before the Super Bowl, with the Colts losing in2004, but winning in 2007.
